There are three intakes available in the USA : January intake(Spring), May intake(Summer), September intake(Fall).Students mostly apply for undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral programs. A student requires a visa (F or M) to study in the US. Foreign students enrolled full time with a valid F-1 status can work up to 20 hours per week on-campus while classes are in session, and up to 40 hours per week during holidays.

  • Can I enter USA more than 30 days in advance before start date of program?

    Students on F or M visas are not permitted to enter the United States earlier than 30 days before the start date of their program. If you wish to enter earlier than 30 days before your start date, you must separately apply and qualify for a visitor (B) visa. After you are admitted to the United States by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officials in visitor (B) visa status, you must separately apply to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) for a change of status to student (For M) status prior to the start of your program. You may not begin your course of study until the change of status is approved, and you may encounter lengthy processing times. You may also depart the United States and re-enter on your student (F or M) visa.

  • What is OPT?

    Optional Practical Training (OPT) is a one-year work and stay-back permit given to international students on completion of a degree program in the US. There are two types of OPT – one which can be used during one’s studies i.e. Pre-Completion OPT, and another which starts after completing one’s studies i.e. Post-Completion OPT. • Pre-completion OPT: You can apply for pre-completion OPT after you have received your full-time enrollment in an educational institution that has been certified by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) to enroll F-1 students. The duration of the course must be at least 12 months. If authorized, you can work part-time for a maximum of 20 hours per week when your classes are in session. During the holidays you can work full-time. • Post-completion OPT: You can apply for post-completion OPT after completing your studies.
